The Department of Biochemistry was established in 1993. Biochemistry is a branch of science which deals with the chemistry of living organisms and various biological processes occurring in living organisms. The main objective is to equip students with fundamentals and advanced techniques in the field of Biochemistry. The faculty of the Department collaborates with the Diagnostic Laboratories and Hospitals for practical exposure to students. Most of our students are trained through projects and intern ships to obtain practical knowledge. The Department also invites eminent Scientists / Researchers from various fields for seminars and workshops to motivate students towards higher education and pursuing research in the areas of Applied Life Sciences.
