Department of Electronics

It was established as an Under-graduate Department in the year 1986. Electronics today stands at the forefront of the rapidly expanding horizon of Science and Technology.

The ease, the precision, the sophistication and the flexibility provided by electronics in all walks of life and industrial systems has made it a very important subject of study. It is indeed considered as a catalyst of scientific and technological progress.

AIM : The aim of the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department is to provide the students with a solid scientific and technical background and research capabilities in the design, development, manufacturing of electronic devices and communication systems.

OBJECTIVES
Students are encouraged to do mini-projects involving Embedded systems and its applications. At the UG level, under the restructured pattern, the final year students have the benefit of being trained in soldering.
Able to solve problems through analytical thinking in their own or related fields.
PROGRAMMES OFFERED
BSc. MEC’S (Mathematics, Electronics, Computers)
Diversified courses in Digital electronics and Microprocessor
CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT
The curriculum is periodically updated keeping in mind the latest advances in the field of Electonics. It aims at providing students a strong practical knowledge in electronics and at the same time, emphasizing application oriented subjects in electronics and Information Technology.
