Department of telugu
The Department of Telugu is one which was born with the establishment of Acharya Nagarjuna University. But the 2 year honors courses were started in 1983. This department was endowed with good academic programme, that produced many eminent lecturers and scholars. With the services of theselecturers the department has grown by heaps and bounds.
For every 3 years the syllabus is being changed to provide equipment to the students preparing for various competitive examinations like U.P.S.C., A.P.P.S.C., NET, SLET etc.
This department conducted many seminars and National seminars. Almost all the faculty members of our department published many papers in various magazines.
Aim Of the Department
- To educate the students from poor academic back ground
- Students with Sanskrit at intermediate level or a challenge to the department to bring them to the expected standards
We have a vast collection of Telugu books, periodicals and journals in our college library .we are subscribing about 4 journals and Telugu books are in our library. In addition to the main library, we have a mini departmental library which is exclusively for the books based on the syllabus. Those books are very helpful for students whenever they want an extra reading beyond the prescribed textbooks.
